Camera has been film tested and is working perfectly. Comes with 90 day warranty See below for technician evaluation:
-
Cosmetic condition: In Very Good Condition, especially in comparison to other vintage cameras from this era. The silver metal finish is showing light marks, but nothing too significant. The viewfinder is clear and exceptionally bright, and the rangefinder window is clear and easy to line up the focus patch with. The shutter curtain is well intact and there are no light leaks occurring through the material (camera was film tested in bright sunlight to determine that there are no light leak issues).
-
Film transport gears: Excellent - Advance gear moves forward precisely and advances film smoothly. The frame counter with this model requires it to be reset manually when starting a new roll. This is done by turning the dial manually to zero after loading a fresh roll of film.
-
Shutter speeds: Excellent - Tested and perfectly accurate at all speeds. This model offers shutter speeds up 1/1000 sec.
-
Light Meter: There is built in meter on these models. An external metering source is recommended.
-
Ernst Leitz Elmar 50mm f/3.5 Collapsible Lens - Good. The front and rear optics are clean but there is some minor layer of haze on the internal layer of optics. This is very common with lens models from this era. We film tested the lens with good lighting and there was no noticeable effect as the lens still produced great image results. There is no fungus, separation or other defects to the lens.
Our goal is to provide an accurate, detailed description for each used item that we sell. We focus on testing the most important aspects related to the functionality. Please note that with older vintage items, a slight degree of imperfection is to be expected.
