The Canon A-1 shares many of the same characteristics and body design of the beloved AE-1 and AE-1 Program with a few additions. The most noteworthy features that set this model apart are the capability to select shutter speeds from 30 Sec up to 1/1000 sec and the ability to switch between Manual, Shutter Priority, and Time Value settings.

Cosmetic condition: Excellent - Very little wear showing only light marks and scratches around the exterior. The Viewfinder is bright and clear aside from a few tiny black specs which are purely cosmetic and has no effect on image results. The rewind knob was replaced with a silver part that gives it a unique look.

Film transport gears: Excellent - No shutter squeal. Advance lever moves forward and advances film smoothly.

Shutter speeds: Excellent - Tested accurately at all speeds.

Light Meter: Excellent - Working, tested against professional meter accurately in all lighting conditions.

Hotshoe: Excellent - Tested and firing. PC sync port was also tested and firing for connecting an off-shoe flash with a cable.

Seals and foam: Mirror, door hinge seals all replaced recently with fresh new foam.

Canon 50mm f/1.8 FD Lens: Excellent - Optics are clean and clear with no marks, scratches or haze.
